Adoption

Adoption is a great place to start. It adds enrichment to not only yours but also to your new pet’s life. Adoptions save animals lives. We are NOT a kill rescue at all, but when a pig is adopted it opens up space for another pig in need and that might be at risk of being put down or dying in the conditions in which they are living in.  Pigs are excellent pets! Foster

Fostering a pig is also a great way to help. It allows a pig to come into a safe, clean, and healthy environment while they are waiting for their forever home. This allows the pig to get over any fears or issues they may have had when first rescued.  This aides to their rehabilitation and gives more of one on one approach. Sponsor

Sponsoring a pig can be done by an individual, a family, or even a business! This can be thought of in the same way as boarding a horse when you do not have the space and time etc. to take care of the horse.  Sponsoring a pig is supporting the pig’s financial needs when you cannot house it. The pig would stay with Pig Pen Inc. you may visit your sponsored pig and even take your sponsored pig out on outings. By doing this you give a pig the wonderful opportunity to stay in a clean, healthy, and safe environment without having to deal with the day to day duties of having a pet in your home. This allows for more space and resources at Pig Pen Inc. to go to save another pig in need. If you are interested in sponsoring a pig please call or email us.

Volunteer

Volunteering is always a smart idea when wanting to help out an organization or cause. Here at Pig Pen Inc. we have lots of ways for you to volunteer. It’s a great for people of all ages, especially teens who need volunteer hours for school. Some of the things you could do as a volunteer are walking the pigs, helping with training and obedience, and grooming. If you are interested in volunteering please call or email us.

Donate

Donating is an excellent way to help. Of course monetary donation, which are tax deductible, always are welcomed and goes a long way to meeting the pigs needs, other things can be donated as well. Time is a good thing to donate. There are a lot of things needed to run a pig rescue, and things we could always use. Those items would be blankets, towels, toys, paper towels, cleaning supplies, pellet bedding, under the bed storage totes (used for litter boxes), pig food, and treats (pigs LOVE cheese puffs).
