Welcome Friends!

Not just a second chance is more than just our motto, we eat sleep and breathe it! Our love of these glorious creatures defines our every move, their well-being and happiness is first and for most. That is how we got started here at Pig Pen Inc. It began with a loveable Vietnamese potbelly pig named Dino, who was adopted by our founder, Lori Maleckar, and of course when he was adopted Lori showed him off on social media and to friends and word spread. Soon Lori was receiving calls about pigs in need and people were wondering if she would take in rescues. Then she gets the phone call, THE phone call that changed her from just an adoptive parent to a sweet pig to a rescue. She got a call about Boo, a Julianna pot belly mixed pig whose owners no longer wanted her. She was in need of a rescue badly, when Boo joined the family she was found covered in mud and feces along with sores from a bad dog fight. Lori took Boo in cleaned her, took her to the vet, and then started the journey of rehabilitating Boo so that when her forever family came along she would be ready. Knowing the conditions that Boo was in Lori knew that other pigs would be in need as well and she couldn’t turn a blind eye to them, so she bravely started Pig Pen Inc. That was in February 2016, since then she has rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed over 30 pigs and that number is growing every day!
